Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

Expert in all areas of the FMCSR’s, including hiring standards and drug/alcohol testing requirements

All drivers are required to be familiar with and follow the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR’s). The regulations are very specific, and at times complex. They were put into place and are continuously updated in order to ensure that only properly-maintained trucks operated in a safe and appropriate manner by competent drivers are on the road, with a paramount concern for public safety in all operations and locales. With the enormous weight and momentum advantage, often 40 tons for a truck, compared to 2 tons or less for a car, SUV, or pickup truck, it is imperative for commercial drivers to always be fully aware and employ proper defensive driving techniques for their own safety and protection of the motoring public.
